    Inglourious Basterds

Easily one of the best films I have ever seen. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a film in the cinema more than this. Its is most certainly QT's best work since pulp fiction, and probably his best directed work he's ever done.

Well this is exactly the same style as his other films, so if you don't like his other work I don't know how you'll feel about this one. But if you like espionage movies, especially for WW2, like Paul Verhoeven's Black book, then you should enjoy this.

I suggested that, but he wanted the account closed to avoid the temptation.

As far as any other reasons go, Terry, I'm not covering them as I don't have all the minutae and if he wants it discussed then JK will discuss it with the people he's still in touch with himself - not my place.

End of subject, back on topic. It's a good topic, a happy one, it doesn't dseserve to be ignored.

I'm looking forward to IG as well. Can't afford to see it yet, but has looked interestiong from the off and the reviews are nothing but excellent

    Inglorious Basterds

It's hard to compare it to Tarantino's other films. It was so different from them. It had more long, dialogue-filled scenes than in any other Tarantino film I can remember. Christoph Waltz will surely get an Oscar nomination for his portrayl as Hans Landa, and may even steal a win. And the opening and closing scenes will be what stands out for me from this film. Truly great filmmaking there.

Oh my god. You've got to be joking me. Yes, Taken was great fun, but nothing more than that. There Will Be Blood is one of the best films to come out in the last 3 years, and I can guarantee that it will eventually become a classic. The cinematography is some of the best I've ever seen, the score is haunting and brilliant, and Day Lewis' performance is one of the best leading performances in cinema history. I can't understand how you gave it one star...I can't wrap my head around that.

The Brave One - Alright. Bit of a cop-out ending but I like Jodie Foster in pretty much everything.
    Hellboy 2 - Not bad.
    Blade Runner - Pretty good.
There Will Be Blood - I enjoyed it, thought Daniel Day Lewis was great. The plot goes to shit when it jumps forward later on though. Very unsatisfying ending.

    Funny People

Really enjoyed the first two acts, but the last act sucked all the fun out of the movie for me. Still a really good movie, though I suspect some people won't like that it's closer to a drama than a comedy.

Was okay. Not really that funny though - a few grins here and there. JK Simmons was great in this.

Not really that scary, with the exception of one scene. More a mystery movie than a horror.
