Re: Official WWE rumour thread
So not exactly celebrating E+C there
I realise Christian is with TNA at the moment, but you'd have thought they'd have arranged rights to a few more of their matches, at least one brood-era match, for example. They made their names initially on the back of the Hardys and Dudleys era feuds, but they're pretty much glossed over. As is the King of the Ring win - the moment they really launched him solo.
Hell, for the early post-team stuff, they'll probably miss him popularising Angle's "You Suck" chant

Mike Johnson is reporting that Mexican star Dos Caras Jr. has signed with WWE and is scheduled to make his debut at the Royal Rumble.
That's great, he declined it once before. Does anyone know much about him? Read somewhere that he did some MMA before.

Re: Official WWE rumour thread
According to a colleague of Scott Hall, the former WWE and WCW superstar attempted to commit suicide either Friday or Saturday.
Details are sketchy, but it is believed that Hall is in a hospital near his home. The source indiciated that pills may have been involved. Hall turned 50 years old last week.

His MMA career basically consisted of getting pounded into dust (whilst still wearing his mask) in another of Antonio Inoki's crazy schemes to "prove" wrestling is the greatest martial art.

Re: Official WWE rumour thread
Source: Meltzer
SmackDown wrestler Super Crazy (real name Francisco Pantoja Islas) reportedly quit the company at a show this past week.
It came out of nowhere, and he is said to be unhappy with his status in the company. He's been been promised pushes a number of times, but they have never materialized.
Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis didn't take the news too well. Laurinaitis told Islas, "Do you know how many wrestlers in Mexico want to be here."
Islas was telling friends that despite his low-level position with the company, he was happy with the pay, but unhappy with his job.
Should WWE release Islas, he is eligible to collect three months of pay without working due to the non-compete clause, but he's willing to waive it because he simply wants to wrestle to the best of his ability. If he waives the non-compete clause, he is still not able to go to TNA for 90 days, but that's probably not his goal anyway.
In an update to this story, his profile has been removed from the SmackDown section on WWE.com.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Superstars Paul London and Chuck Palumbo as of Nov. 7, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all future endeavors.
http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/londonpalumborelease08
Shame about London but the writing was on the wall once they changed Layla's name to Layla London. Was great potential there for a feud between London and Kendrick
Not in the slightest bit surprised about Palumbo, heard his contract was up and he's not been used in ages, no great loss.

Shame about Paul London, after he and Kendrick split as a team I feared for them both, thought theyd both end up being cut, Kendrick's safe at the moment tho. London is very talented, I see him ending up in Ring of Honor.
Couldnt give a crap about Palumbo, to me he was just another generic big guy

As soon as they split the three players in his feud palumbo was doomed - they never had a follow-up feud in place to consider.
Right now, I'd be worried if I were Jamie Noble, Mike Knox, Deuce, Jesse + Festus, Bam Neeley, Val Venis, D'Lo, DH Smith, Kenny, Jimmy Wang Yang, Swagger, Ziggler, Boogeyman.....

Agreed on most - I think Val Venis should be safe though - isn't he one of the guys who's used primarilly for enhancement because he is a good worker and can identify areas that need to be worked on for new guys coming in?
Now Bob Holly on the other hand...

Val...and indeed Bob...hasn't been used for a while now, so I'm thinking he may become a road agent/ backstage trainer who gets a few enhancement matches as "special apearances", much like Hacksaw/Lawler/Simmons
