Seriopusly, it was a great match, just not a penalty. You gave a great account of yourselves and your keeper in particular had an excallent game. Definately too good for that division.

Unlike Charlton. We crushed you when you were in the prem, boy. Imagine what we could do now! Twisted Evil

    1. What the fuck would you know about League one?
    2. You're the only one who claims it wasn't a penalty, the neutrals say it was. Beckford was running away from goal and was after a penalty, it wasn't necessary to slide in.
    3. Why couldn't you beat them in the cup?
    4. I've been present at games where Charlton have beaten Leeds.

Indeed, apparently the commentator on sky repeatability mentioned that we were once in the premier league! As least they don't do it as often as they mention Leeds being in the semi-final of the champions league. As if people have the memories of a goldfish!

Well for those out there who think that football didn't exist before 1992. Leyton Orient were once in the old first division and Leeds once made the European cup final. Both Leeds, Charlton and Norwich have been at this level before...

Actually, my No. 2. team is Oldham Athletic, and they've been down in the third teir for a LONG time now. The way they're going, I'll have to start keeping an eye on League 2 next year!

From the group of fans and neutrals I was with at work at he time (Gotta love bigscreen TVs in the break rooms!), concensus was it was a fair tackle. The pundits and commentators at the time were heard using phrases like "could go either way" so it wasn't that clear cut.

And I wasn't being condesending - it WAS a great game and Leeds ARE better than League one. Given the financial issues just a couple of years ago the squad that you've built up is exceptionally good. If you can keep that side together and just replace beckford and Snodgrass if they get picked up by teams above you as expected then I could see you challenging for at least a play-off spot in the championship next year.

Was very much like a play that you sometimes see in basketball where the ball is being inbounded and the player bounces it off the back of the opponent. Great stuff.

No matter if Spurs or Pompey win tomorrow, I don't see either getting past Chelsea on May 15th.

Terry should be given a 3 match ban for that challenge on Milner today. Howard Webb is usually very good in these games, but that was a straight red if I ever saw one.

You may say that, but we've played Chelsea twice in Wembley finals before, and we won both times, including just 2 years ago in the league cup.

FA cup finals, and the competition itself, are a big thing for Spurs as a club and a fanbase. We were non-league winners in 1901, first team to 8 wins, first odern double winners, centenary winners...the same way that Man Utd and Liverpool are the teams traditionaly associated with the League, Spurs are the side who were traditionaly associated with cups, and this one in particular...and it's something which lifts the team every time we get there.

Trust me, we win and it'll be a very good final - certainly no walkover. If you want to do the tradition thing, though, it's "1" year too soon.

Their goal - good finish, they'd defended well up til then, nothing against them (pitch is another mater)

But the disallowed goal...TERRIBLE decision. Kranj was in the air, jumping up, when James jumped into HIM. Bad bad call

Cannot knock Pompey at all there. Defended excellently and took chances well. Set out their stall to hit us on the break and did exactly that.

CAN knock the ref. Disallowed a perfectly good equaliser, gave a penalty when Palacios played the ball, booked him ruling it out of two key games, didn't book Boateng for removing his shirt in is celebration, ignored high arms and elbows, let brown get away with a blatant two-footer...terrible terrible game for the bar steward in the middle.

Big example - why was Palacios only booked? If that was a foul it was denying a goalscoring chance, so that's a red card. There's no room for him to use his discretion. The man bottled it big time.

Almost makes me think the FA want Pompey (who technically are in Europe next year now, btw) to win the cup so they don't have to pay the prize money...

Boateng was booked for his celebration I think, livescore lists him being booked the same minute as the goal.

Great game, delighted for Pompey, I cannot believe a team that has been relegated will play the FA Cup final. Imagine if they win!
