I've used as a target for the last decade a target for a good season of a point a game against the big however many (so 6 when it was the big 3, now 8 for the big 4) and that puts us on 10 and no defeats this year. Should now be safe - our goal difference is worth a point if we slip back down - and another possible UEFA cup spot is not out of reach.

That was a fantastic first half. Taylor should be in the changing room (my only real gripe), Harper stopped two dead certs, and Almunia stopped a penalty! Amazing!

Actually looking back over it, is Mr Halsey wearing a Newcastle shirt? We're getting absolutely nothing!
