Apparently Cardiff have this Chairman called Peter Ridsdale, or something like that. He's just made my season!

It seems he isn't the sharpest tool in the box as we were expecting only £200k for Mark Hudson, after all he had a poor season, we've been relegated and need the money etc. Being the charitable figure that he is, he's given us £1.075m with a £250k bonus if they get promoted!! Very Happy

He's brought in to replace Roger Johnson and to quote a Cardiff forum.

Not abig fan of football anymore, however, just wondering if besides that 6"4, muscle-model, diving, crying, over-paid piece of shit, known as Christiano Ronaldo, has there been any other obscene 56 Million Pound bid for some piece of shit in world football?

Price for him is mad but that not his fault.

Blatter said the other day that there is to much money in the Premier league and that it is ruining football, or something like that, what a fucking joke. He's an idiot.

I really hate Sepp Blatter, and his blatent hatred for the English league. How can someone who hates an entire league be allowed to be in charge of FIFA.

Better than Platini. He made the same comments about the premiership, then criticised the price paid for Ronaldo by Real before saying "But the banks are willing to cover them, so..."

So what? It's OK to criticise a league where the money actually exists, where the clubs (or at worst the owners) actually have the funds and do go bust if they get it wrong, but it's fine to let the Spanish carry on spending money they don't have because the banks will just loan them more???

tbh I really expect United to be skinflints this ummer becase they don't have funds. But they'll still have a top drawer side. Liverpool may just manage one more big signing - 2 if alonso or Masch go. Chelsea are spending more conservatively than usual, Arsenal never spend big, we haven't splashed any cash yet, city have the funds but haven't even started to dip into the kitty - these clubs will all survive and thrive next year, and without the banks having to pay for them. How is this worse, in any stretch of the imagination, than spending enoughy to bankrupt any other club knowing that you'll be bailed out by what are, essentially, public funds during a global credit crunch?

Isn't much of Arsenal's debt related to the Emirates & the majority of Man Utd's related to the Glaziers buying the club? The banks are happy to let them run up the debt because they know they have the means to make the money to pay off the debt eventually, whereas us little clubs don't have that kind of money making power and thus we end up going out of business. York haven't been able to buy players for the last couple of years as we've had to watch our budgets extremely carefully, it was only because of a cup run last year we have some cash to buy players, so seeing some of the transfer fees being paid this summer absolutely sickens me.

I'm not sure which is funniest - Man City chasing every striker under the sun or our pursuit of right-backs - Gunter out, Naughton and Walker in.

My guess is that Tevez and Naughton have been signed for a different position. Tev for playing in the hole as an attacking midfielder and Naughton as our rumoured left back signing.

So how big of a move is Ibrahimovic to Barca and Eto'o to Inter? I mean, my understanding is that both are two of the best strikers in football. Do people consider Ibrahimovic to be better than Eto'o? If that is the case, Barcelona is a very scary team.

I actually cant get my head around the move at all

I know Eto'o is in the last year of his contract but I would rather keep him for the year than sign Ibrahimovic who despite all his undoubted talent is mainly a lazy bastard

Eto'o is one of the deadliest strikers in the world while Zlatan is a taller Berbatov

'ecky t'ump! So much for this being a slow transfer window.

    Huth and Tuncay to Stoke

Warnock replaced at Blackburn by Chimbonda

Shevchenko has been told he can leave Chelsea

Sneijder and Robben have left Real

Pompey have apparently agreed £4m for K-P Boateng

For some reason, though - maybe the sudden rich owner has gone to their heads - Pompey think that Jamie O'Hara might be a. available and b. willing to join them on loan until December. Let's ignore the fact that 'Arry has made a point of praising him and made it very clear he's one of his primary alternative tactic options - we just haven't needed them yet, and focus on a key point. If your boss was completing his restructuring of the company you represented, and whilst you weren't his immediate go-to guy he'd made a point of how highly he regarded you, would you take the risk of stepping out of his immediate radar by going to a smaller organisation which was struggling in the hope that you could do enough to impress him without someone else impressing in your place?

    Deadline day!!!!!

Danny Collins to Stoke for £2.75m

Michael Turner to Hull (rumoured £12m...WTF???)

David Bentley could be the next Man City signing - with Patrov going the other way (That's a great move for Bentley...NOT. From fighting Lennon for RW now he'd have to fight SWP!)

And apparently we had agreed a deal for the Croatian Keeper Stipe Pletikosa last week but he got his cruciate injury to nix that - Apparently Harry isn't happy with Cudicini (I'll be honest, he's not the player he was), which is wy there are now rumours of swapping him with David James. Please god no.

And Benjani could be going to Notts County - probably on loan due to Work Permit issues

Edit: Forget Petrov - It apears we've signed Krancjar from pompey for about £2.5mil. Looks like Gio and Danny Rose can forget any ideas of getting a chance whilst Modric is out.

That said, He and Modric are rumoured to not be the best of friends, so how he will fit in with him and his best mate Charlie Corluka will be interesting to see
