It's only a loan though. It might be that Palace are just desperate to dump his wages on someone else and they were the only ones who offered.
If he signs permanently though.... ooooh....
That is shaping up to be one VERY crowded courtroom. Fulham, Ken Bates, Neil Warnock's head...

I offically love this story now.

Re: Official Championship + below thread
Scarborough Athletic have been promoted to the Premier Division of the Northern Counties East League.
They won 2-1 at Teversal to secure the points they needed just two years after the club was formed.
Scarborough Athletic came into existence in the summer of 2007 after the town's former club folded because of financial problems.
Athletic now need just four more points to take the NCEL First Division title and be promoted as champions.
The club have won 25, drawn four and lost just two of the 31 league games they have played this season.
It is the first time a senior Scarborough side have won a promotion since the former club won the Conference in 1987 to reach the Football League.

The Football Association says any possible 10-point penalty on Southampton if they go into administration will not come into effect until next season. (Daily Mail)
Cash-strapped Charlton are considering selling off their training ground and other facilities and laying off staff to try and tackle their £20m debt. (The Sun)
For what they are worth.

Re: Official Championship + below thread
Moving off of the bottom depends on the result between the 2 clubs on Saturday.
We don't have any debt, redundancies are to cut costs ready for relegation and selling the training ground is to raise money for the legal battle with Dowie. Not good times to say the least.

So that's what an away win feels like!
Would be a shame if Peterbourgh go up, I was looking forward to going there next season. Would prefer MK Dons to go up and remove the whole, should I or shouldn't I dilemma.

Its going around that Magilton may be sacked before the season is out!
Blimey, guess get a manager in so he can get a feel of the team before next season, be a good idea as yet again Magilton blammed the players and not himself after changing the team for the 40th time this season!

Apparently at the play of the year award ...
One of the fans doing his speech is really got to lit rip and ask the players if they find it easy to sleep at night, knowing that their poor performances have led to 25 members of staff being made redundant.
I don't 100% approve of his actions, but I'm going to try and get myself a ticket!

I'm pretty sure that Southampton's 10 point deduction will commence next season. It may be higher as they've tried to be sneaky...

It should be higher, that was their rational for us getting 15pts last season, TBH 10pts now is not really going to change much, table wise in the championship. Probably just switch them and you around. But its not really going to help you close the gap on the other teams.

Re: Official Championship + below thread
I've resigned myself to league 1 football next season for months. I think the deal with Southampton is they would receive a 10 point deduction this season if they finished outside the relegation place, before any points deduction, or would receive it next season if they, as I expect, finish in it this season.
A debt free Southampton could still be a bit of a force next season, likewise the team who finishes 22nd. Charlton are going to be having quite a few JPT & FA cup 1st ties for the foreseeable future.

Re: Official Championship + below thread
Looking at Charltons team its hard to see why they are near relegated already, have some great players like Andy Gray (well was good, dunno if he still is), Matt Holland and others, is sad though... hopefully they will come straight back up next year if they do go down, isnt looking good though sadly....
In other news, Ipswich Towns Chief Executive is leaving at the end of the season, hopefully Magilton will follow him out.
