If Silvestre was a horse he'd be taken out back and shot.

Still, with everyone writing us off and the amount of talent in the injury room I can live with a draw. If we'd drawn 2-2 with an equaliser in the 60th minute instead of the 93rd I doubt I'd care quite as much about us not winning.

Eboue had another one of his bloody awful days today. Seems to have rollercoaster confidence!

I think Phil Brown's theatrics on boxing day are going to back fire on him big time. It seems the guy is developing quite an ego.

    He's been charged.

That was quick given that the police can hold you for ages if they're lacking evidence. If it's taken less than 24 hours it must be pretty compelling!

Funny that Liverpool FC have come out and said they will support Steven Gerrard!!! bit of a silly thing to say at the moment, since he has been charged so quick, as JK said, most be quite strong evidence against him!

He will get off it though with some loop hole and that prat at the PFA will say he was victimised and the person who was injured in the fight should not off got in Gerrards way.

I've heard conflicting reports in different papers over whether it's assault occasioning actual bodily harm or whether it's just battery.

Quite a big difference, the latter is usually punished with a fine and/or community service with the maximum jail penalty being 12 months, but that's only reserved for repeat offenders.

If it's ABH it can be up to 5 years in prison and people usually do a little time for it. Though as Rooq says, it's Steven Gerrard. He could punch the Pope and he'd still get off scott free.

Can I just point out the complete hypocrasy here regarding Gerrard & a not too dissimilar incident with Barton this time a year ago? Both reacted stupidly to situations they really shouldn't have been in. 1 has a bunch of hypocrites calling for him to be sacked before a trial's even taken place, the other has pretty much the sympathy of the entire press.

I'm far from a Barton fan, but this is bullshit. It's the same thing, but because it's Steven Fucking Gerrard, the media sweetheart who can do no wrong it's just one of those things & Liverpool are great for standing by him. Double standards.

Barton had the track record of a complete bastard, sticking cigars in guys eyes and a few asault charges, thats why everyone ripped the shite out of him, in comparison to him Gerrard is Ghandi

Hopefully they both die soon anyway

Like I said, I'm not a Barton fan. The fact remains, it's 2 pissed brawls outside clubs, by 2 players from the same area. Both players should have had the sense to avoid the situations in the first place.

I know the Gerrard thing is big news (I'm not going to comment until the facts have come out) but any response to the Phil Brown half time team talk at Man Shity would me appreciated. Smile

accorrding to the eye witness report I read, Gerrard's was inside the club when the stand in DJ shoved him and he swung out with a retalliatory elbow as he went down.

Slightly different to the Barton situation.

Hmm, an eyewitness report from Merseyside that absolves Steven Gerrard of all blame... what a shocker! Rolling Eyes Laughing

If it was as simple as that the police wouldn't have charged him in less than 24 hours.

Seems like Benitez is feeling the pressure now and has cracked, he had a bizzare rant at Fergie today saying he picks the fixtures and is killing the refs in the game!

Seems as though Fergie hasnt really had a go at Benitez yet like he has Keegan and Wenger in the past, so if he does soon be funny to see what Rafa does then!

That lines man was a dopey fucker!

Very good result yesterday it might swend a little message out to everyone, get a win against Wigan on Wednesday and we are right behind Liverpool.

Benitez still acting a bit of a cock saying in the Mirror about Gill having a position in the FA but i dont expect United to say much about it, I hope not anyway because Fergie used to be very vocal about Dein having a position in the FA at one point as well if I remember correctly
