It doesn't air until Thursday in the UK but I'll add a tag to the thread title because all these boxes are hurting my eyes.

Thanks. US Armed Forces are some of the biggest wrestling fans out there, but Armed Forces Network doesn't even air ECW. They air Raw and Smackdown three times a week, but no ECW, so I won't be seeing it unless I catch it on German TV.

I just loved the commentary declaring the moment "has just become instantly classic" and the "Thufferin' Thucatash!" speech

Todd Grisham couldve sounded a bit more excited...just "Its Christian", Striker made up for it though. A few folk are down on him going on ECW, but I can see the reasoning behind it. With Matt Hardy on Smackdown, Christian fills his spot nicely, and bear in mind theres gonna be a draft later on in the year, which could open up a move to Smackdown once he gets a run at the ECW Title, holds it for a few months then goes to Smackdown
Gives the Instant Classic a few months to show fans who maybe didnt see him 3 years ago...or see his run in TNA, show them exactly how good he is, and he has got better since his last WWE run

I think where this discussion needs to go is here: Should there even be an ECW show? There was no point to create the show other than scrounge up some money from the name itself, and all hopes of that died when ECW became normal non hardcore wrestling. It's essentially a breeding ground for up and comers, jobbers, and Tommy Dreamer.

It's a good way of introducing people and giving those with not much experience a chance to get used to working in front of such a large crowd and on TV. It also seems to go through phases of being the best show of the three, and I think it's regaining this status again, with Sydal coming back soon, Wilson recently debuting, Christian's return, etc.

I think it would be exactly as you describe it if it were more like Heat was in the late 90's. But now with three different brands and PPV's every month, there is a lack of deep development in the storylines IMO. Part of the current problem is that there are too many people and too much airtime. It needs to return to 3 hours per week of airtime, and drop one of the shows (obv. not Raw).

Well he returned last night on ECW to go after that title. Certainly this is a waste of his talent?
- Spoiler:
Oh what a fuckin waste. At the royal rumble the audience screamed his name for the whole show, and they waste him by returning with no fan fare, on a show that nobody watches, and he needed finlays help to beat Jack Swagger. He's not even gonna be involved in their match at No Way Out.
- Spoiler:
As much as I'd have loved them to see the bigger picture, unfortunately WWE has always been and will always be of the mentality that if you leave them to go to another company - you're going to pay for it when you come back for a while at least. Total waste.
At least now that the Monday Night Wars are over anyway
- Spoiler:
I can see the logic - if they've only just finalised the return contract, then they had to pull the trigger on the Jeff angle, and the main event pictures are roughly in place for WM, so they either waited another month, or they found another way to bring him in at a credible level. This way he's in a belt picture, and if he's screwed over(the only credible defeat for such a fan-favourite return), then there's the MITB match to slip him into - have him win that, reunite with Edge in a tag match, then when Edge is lying beaten in the ring, grab the ref and cash in. Instant feud to boot
- Spoiler:
- I like the MITB angle but can't see that happening, Christian in ECW is such a waste. It does make me wonder where TNA stands now, they can't be going on for much longer.
