Re: New spurs stadium
Your right Rooq, another boring identikit stadium. It looks exactly the same as the Emirites which is only 4 miles away. No doubt Arsenal fans will claim spurs are copying them ignoring the Estadio Da Luz. Such a shame for 2 rivals to move from great grounds with loads of character and history to a stadium where the only difference is the colour of the seats.
We need more Portman Road and Valleys!

Yeah I was thinking it looked exactly like the emirates as well which is very similar to the stadium you said, they are all morphing into the same one!!! spooky!
I agree! more Portman Roads and Valleys! they are stadiums! and as much as I hate them, Carrow Road is a great stadium as well.

Re: New spurs stadium
It's the same capacity too...
I still don't understand this decision to move at all. The principal reason for us moving from Highbury was that we kept filling it and there was more money to be had if more people could get in.
I could be wrong but I don't remember White Hart Lane being packed to the rafters every game... isn't this just going to result in lots of empty seats?

Re: New spurs stadium
Fair dos. I have to admit I don't pay much attention. I'm sure the Spurs board aren't stupid enough to build an empty stadium.

Re: New spurs stadium
There's a part that says the image of the stadium was just a representative image to show where the location of the stadium in relation to WHL but was not representative of how the stadium if and when completed would look?
whoops!

Re: New spurs stadium
The Spurs board have indeed stated that there is no finalised design in place, but that discussions are ongoing including with the people behind both Eastlandsand the Olympic Staium.
Also...
1. The new stadium is expected to be part of a much larger development and regeneration project for the area including better coach parking - always a bugbear in North London
2. We have a waiting list of about 24,000 wanting season tickets, to go with the pretty much full houses at every game. That makes about 60,000 straight off, and that's before you get to the fans who haven't joined the waiting list because they know they won't get one.
trust us, it will be busy...

Re: New spurs stadium
UPDATE:
A few picures
It seems the high road is getting a facelift, fantastic news!
Interesting name...
But as nice as it looks, and I personally prefer the exterior to Arsenal's, face it Spurs' fans, you're going to end up with this!!
