I thought the original Fable was a great game. People as usual got caught up in the hype pre-release (I admit the majority of it was due to Molyneux's over excited ramblings, but I love Peter), then criticised the game for things that weren't there rather than praising the game for the good to great things it did have actually going for it. Ticked practically every box for me, and can't wait for the sequel.
The main title wetting my appetite is LittleBigPlanet. Everything about the game is exciting me, the art style choice, the freedom to create and the ideas already arising, the online interaction...anticipating all of it and t'will be picking up my PS3 with it when it's released. Sure there's going to be alot of crap created and put online that will have to be ploughed through to get to the gold, and it's still debatable as to whether there will be much of a game in there outside of the creation side of things, but they're only minor quibbles for me as it's the creation side I'm in for.
To a lesser extent slightly than LBP, the new Banjo is exciting me too with every little tidbit released relating to it. Seems to unintentionally have followed a similar path with LBP with it's vechile creation and challenges set which can be achieved through a variety of possibilities through your own creations. Seems to have enough links to the old Banjo's but still taken a new route to reintroduce the franchise to a new audience (marmite for those that wanted another platformer).
Other games taking my fancy: Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge (more out of intrigue, as I see this being this years Assassin's Creed, built up with too much hype then being slagged off...admittedly fairly when compared to Fable 1 for me), Far Cry 2, FM'09
