His contract is about to expire and there's been no reports of a new one being agreed.

spoilers are definite winner and loser information, that was a useless interview.
Yeah it's an interview but did you know beforehand that the feud was set to end? So it's a spoiler in my book.
Well let's see, they had a match that the ref stopped because of Shawn's eye bleeding, then you have Shawn's wife hit, then Jericho get's the shit beat out of him and loses a match to HBK, now Jericho has the title and now we're in a Ladder match, yeah, I saw it ending after that. They never put the title on HBK, even tho he's better than HHH all around, but they have no problem putting him in title matches that people are sick and tired of seeing him lose.

Christian is heavily involved in a storyline at the minute with TNA, cant see them being stupid enough to get him involved if he's leaving for the 'E

Re: No Mercy Thread
Well, the 'E' put him as an option for a cyber sunday competitor when the show was on about 3 days after his contract expired, set up a major storyline for Goldberg even knowing that THEY were not offering him a new contract, trusted Scott Hall not to screw up during a major angle...
y'know, these things happen - usually a cockiness that they feel they can get what they need or that wrestler X will obviously re-sign with them

They selected him before he confirmed he was leaving, meaning that, as I was arguing, they were arrogantly assuming he'd resign when they put him in there.
Plus by the time of the show it was widely known he was out of contract, so everyone knew which way the match would have gone. There were multiple other options they could have put in there to avoid that, but because they'd just assumed he wasn't going, they had painted themselves into a corner

Re: No Mercy Thread
Anyone see Edge appearing?
I've got a feeling both Edge and Kozlov are gonna play a role in the WWE Title match. Setting up 2 feuds, HHH/Kozlov & Edge/Hardy.
One or two title matches for Kozlov and that's all from his career.

Every time i see your posts I keep thinking smokedaddy because of that damn avatar.
that said, i aree with everything you said. And yes, Christian will not appear. If Vince got him back he wouldn't stop crowing about it. There's no way he'd keep it a secret

So your earlier post about Cyber Sunday, Goldberg and Hall were pointless.......in future you should just type "IOV's correct" save us all some time

No, I was just saying that your assumption that bookers are not brainless jackasses who could paint themselves into a corner in an open field was wrong.
In future you should just type "Gari's da man" and actually post something true. Know it's hard for ya, but honesty is the best policy

Re: No Mercy Thread
Honesty is for those that are caught out, being amazing i have never been caught out
I disnt assume anything i had read the Impact spoilers that say Cage is to play a prominent role in a fued for TNA and deduced he wouldnt be appearing at No Mercy for the WWE
Bookers may indeed be brainles jack ass's but Cage is a man of his word as the earlier mentioned Cyber Sunday incident shows so i couldnt see him leaving them in the lurch, this part is an assumption!

I'm buying the PPV, mainly for the ladder match, but I have to go into work for an hour at 8am so I'll just rush home after that and catch most of the 9am repeat.

That ladder match was everything I had hoped for. Did anyone else notice that Jericho knocked out his tooth? Gutted that Jeff lost in such a way. Such a fuck you ending!

I noticed the missing tooth when he smiled at the end.
The crowd want Jeff to be champion so badly, but I just can't see it happening now. HHH said he'd always be one second away, and this match just validated that.

Re: No Mercy Thread
Well, according to his book an early promoter thought Jericho looked like Benoit and wanted to promote him as his brother. Looks more like him now!
Will Lawler use the phrase "toothless agression" tonight? Will Vince shitcan him for it?
and is the show actually worth watching?

It's worth watching Sgt. Slaughter and the World Title matches. Kind of a meh show but it's sort of watchable.

Re: No Mercy Thread
I actually liked what I saw of No Mercy, cracking ladder match, glad Jericho won
Jeff was so damn close, its gotta be soon he wins it, Trips is a lucky bastard. Great match they had tho.
Taker - Show....meh
Beth-Candice....passable from what I saw...I went out for a smoke during it!
Very pleased Matt beat Mizark, please give us Hardy vs Morrison!!!! That would be all kinds of awesome
Missed most off JBL v Batista (another ciggie!), dont like either of em anyways
Kane-Rey was ok....I expected the shitty finish

I thought the show was a decent one...no more than that.
Not a bad match on it...a very good match with a shite finish and an excellent match also for the main event.
HHH is such a boring tit.
