Twas' released today, thoughts and opinions?

It's decent, although I did like the old menu system look. This looks a little too like a PC setup. I like some of the new features but the guy character all look metrosexual. I like how the achievements can be viewed from their own individual menus from the achievement screen.

I have to say atm I don't like it much. I liked the basic & simple look of the old dashboard.

I think the avatars are just ugly & pointless.

Its alright. Not gonna lie, I dont spend all that much time there anyways. When I turn my Xbox on it is usually to play video games as crazy at that may seem.

I dont get it when some people are just freaking out over it.

I'm still kind of fumbling over the menu system. I just want to play my game but I have to scroll through 9 menus sometimes to get to where I need to go. I wish you had the option to hide them like the one did as I only use the "Games" and "Friends" tabs.

The avatars are too much like the Wii ones. The X-Box should be for adult gamers, not children... why include all the campy childlike avatars? I don't like the new SFX or layouts either... I miss the old dashboard.

The main thing that irritates me continually is that they have the option to open the disc drive as the first to pop up rather than sign in. Of course I'm on the machine to play games so will in turn want to open the drive to place my disc of choice, but when perusing through, I'd like to sign in first at least to see whom is online and to see what is up for grabs on marketplace.

The avatars aren't really a bugbear of mine, I can give or take them since they were simply a device to shoehorn in the family market they are heading for with their new range of Lips, Scene It, and You're In The Movies. It is irritating me how Rare spokespeople keep popping up on different websites spouting out the same tired lines that 'We came up with avatars first'....really who gives a monkeys? The execution is more important than the idea anyways.

Very Apple. I like Apple. I own far too much Apple.
