The brand split isn't working.

Anyone else not care who won at bragging rights? When an opponent has to leave one show and they do a farewell speech don't you think it's all a bit stupid? The only way that's going to work if it you have fans siding for one show over another, they currently have both shows at the same arena, it's not going to happen when you have 2 shows under the same promotion.

And how many tag team matches do you need? The shows have been so predictable for the last 5 or so years! Evil or Very Mad

more inportantly, did anyone not see it coming? They only did the same a few years back with the ECW launch.

It's like any battle royal with Edge or Regal tends to see them hide outside the ring pretending to be out until the "winner" has elimiated the others

The brand split has sucked for a long time, basically forever. They don't actually keep show integrity most of the time, as many matches see people from another show in them. Buying WCW and ECW may have been the worst business decision for Vince, as it has left him with a ton of talent, with nothing to actually occupy them except this half assed roster split. Dump ECW and Smackdown, focus on Raw and maybe a one hour weekend show, cut 25% of the current talent.

Competition is good for business, but not when you have a fake competition with yourself.

My opinion would be ideally to scrap it and merge the titles, just as they did when they killed off the legacy of WCW, and have the same shows as they have now, perhaps keeping ECW has a training brand. Alternatively if they want to keep it, have the brands touring separately and have no exchanges for 2 years. Only have 3 ppvs with both brands (Summerslam, Rumble and Wrestlemania). Also give the brands some sort of identity which differentiates the brands, have them aim for completely different demographics to create fan preference, this will bring back fans who are sick of the current product and preferred the attitude era. After the 2, or more years they can then start the brands fighting each other.
