Not specifically RAW related but since we were discussing the Draft in here... According to 411 this is the outcome of the supplemental draft (can't check WWE at work - swimwear/lingerie block apparently...) so don't blame me if it's wrong!

  • Ken Kennedy: Drafted from Smackdown to Raw
Shad Gaspard: Drafted from Raw to Smackdown
Alicia Fox: Drafted from ECW to Smackdown
Primo Colon (Current Unified Tag Team champion): Drafted from Smackdown to Raw
Mike Knox: Drafted from Raw to Smackdown

Another pointless set of supplemental moves then!

No problems with Kennedy as I've never rated him anyway; Alicia Fox and Mike Knox - couldn't care less about either (although a Knox 'n' Fox Connection team-up would be worth it for the name alone) which just leaves Shad (who's gash) and Primo.

I don't get it.

Over the course of the draft they've split up three tag teams (they only have like five so it's hardly rocket science to keep some together) AND they went to the trouble of giving the Colons a decent rub by putting them over Morrison & Miz only to effectively split them up and make the whole thing UTTERLY POINTLESS!!!

Ugh. Why do I bother with this shit anymore?

The "negativity" that you see, Stig, was more towards the lack of established main evvent talent on one show when they haven't room to use everything they've got on the other. It just really stinks of bad planning. I agree entirely about the return of the "Smackdown 6" style era, especially if the gamble pays off. It's just that if you compare main events like HHH v Cena to Jeff v Y2J, the latter may be more fresh and watchable, but it won't stand out as a money match on the card. THAT'S my concern. Plus the fact that we KNOW Raw is the A show, but everey year or so they try to play the pair off against each other and convince you that it's a fair battle.

As I've commented in a few places, the "just short of the main event" group is Smackdown's advantage - there are so many guys they can push there, and the switch of Morrison for Kenedy doesn't hurt that much either - but that is then offset by the insistence of giving 10-15 minutes of each show to the archived matches they show. That's another good little match in there...give Haas v Morrison or Rey v Punk 10 minutes to show wat they can do.

I am intrigued by the Smith + Natalya to ECW though to join Kidd. Possible stable?

DH Smith must be the first drafted superstar to never appear on the previous show.

Was a good show tonight, the Santino segment was fantastic and HHH V Orton was better than their Wrestlemania match. Shame about the amount of kids there though, they prevented me from fulfilling a dream of shouting paedophile at Lawler and gave me a headache with all their screaming.

They filmed superstars after Raw, all 2 matches off it! Very Happy Even better, the kids/parents didn't realise their was another show and fucked off!!!Very Happy:D:D

The ending of the Punk v Kane match had to be redone (so much for being an indy superstar...) & there were 2 dark matches, Regal beating Dolph Zigler and Cena retaining his title against Edge.

Have to admit to not liking the TV aspect and prefer indy shows as a result, perhaps I would enjoy a PPV, summerslam is in LA this year and I've got a lot of friends out there.... chin ponder

I think Steamboat is going to make a minor comeback! Hopefully he won't go overboard as there was a reason for him retiring in the first place!

Shame the Great Khali kiss is going to be a PPV now and not on Smackdown.

Man, Raw hasn't been too good lately. Not a lot of wrestling on it anymore, and the stuff we do get are like 2 minute matches with Carlito vs. Kendrick, and like 3 other matches at around like 5 minutes. The Orton/McMahons feud is starting to feel a little long and it feels like it's run its course.

Raw was interesting last night. I hope sky sports don't take ad breaks next week either.

And why was MVP wearing a Man United Jersey?

The no ad breaks thing was a one off. There were no breaks on the US broadcast either.

Donald Trump as the new owner of Raw is... interesting.

It is, but Bradshaw101 thinks he knows everything. Rolling Eyes

To Outlaw: I doubt they will, otherwise they'll end up having to go into roughly 30 minutes overrun to accommodate the ads.

Thought that was a great gesture by Punk.

Speaking of which, he's doing an excellent job of walking that fine tweener line. That triple threat on Monday was awesome.

I will look out for the product placement during the show itself.

That will be fun to see. Wont get to see it tonight though, which sucks as last week was really fun.
