He was bland before he cashed the MITB in for the 2nd time, he's become the top-heel IMO.

I liked the tease of the Anaconda Vice in his promo. Maybe he'll make Taker tap out to it at Breaking Point :O

Well I asume he'll get one over on Taker on Smackdown, since Punk hasn't done anything "big" against Taker yet. Make him pass out or something, just to show that it's possible to do the impossible.

Has Taker tapped out before? I've got Kurt Angle in mind but i'm not sure. chin ponder

They're plugging that as a no.

I think Angle's successes against him was back in the "Olympic Slam" days, pre-ankle lock.

They had a match on Smackdown in 2002, when Undertaker was Undisputed Champion which ended in a draw when 'Taker tapped to a Triangle Choke as he pinned Angle.

IIRC, the first time Angle and Taker had a match was at Survivor Series 2000, which was around the time Angle started using the Ankle Lock.

I defer to your memory - I thought they faced off a month or two earlier - the "Eric Angle" match particularly, and that the ankle lock came in just before WM in 2001.

Didn't they use it at first to explain an injury - Scotty's broken ankle, I think.

I can't see Taker taping at Breaking Point. But, I like the, Undertaker passing out thing so that Punk gets one over on Taker, so to whomever said that liking the idea !

But as for Taker actually taping out, can't see it.

Has Angle made Taker tap? hmm..... it sure is a head scratcher.

I think they played it like Angle had broken Scottys ankle but it was staged. It was when they were putting Angle across as the geek that break your fucking ankle, so Im going for kayfabe

The Eric Angle incident was the Survivor Series match, which was a month after Angle won the WWF championship from The Rock at No Mercy. However, thinking about it now, I think they had a mini-feud around June/July 2000, as I seem to remember Angle using a wrench to attack the Undertaker.

I definitely remember the Ankle Lock being used on Debra in the build up to the Rock vs Angle match at No Way Out 2001, which was just 3 months after Survivor Series.

I think it was Fully Loaded 2000, where Angle wrestled Taker first, and Taker squashed him.

I don't think Taker has ever tapped before. I remember the Smackdown match in 2002, and then I think at No Way Out 2006, they had the same finish. I might be wrong on NWO though.

Kinda my point - they used the existence of a convenient injury as a way to suggest the move was just that devastating, even though the two weren't actually linked IIRC

Angle won through a jacknife pin.

Found this on Lords of pain:

Did you know? - The Undertaker has only tapped out once in his WWE career. It was during his "biker" period. In a match with Kurt Angle, he lifted Angle for the Last Ride but Angle squeezed him with a triangle choke, causing Undertaker to lower him to the mat. Angle's shoulders were down and Undertaker tapped at the exact same time, resulting in a draw.
