I read that ROH are trying their hardest to get a national TV deal and Gabe was heavily against the idea because he thinks its to soon

I think it's also to do with the fact he has been booking ROH solidly for 6 years now and could do with the break as ROH is being accused of being very stale at the moment. I think this is a huge move for Cary to make and I hope he doesn't come to regret it. I just hope they get someone with some experience to replace Gabe. Not sure who though!!

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the new Ring of Honor is former NWA World Heavyweight champion Adam Pearce. Pearce replaces long time ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky, and is apart of a new direction for the Philadelphia based promotion.

Ring of Honor Cary Silkin owner is looking to appeal to a new audience, and wants to move to creative direction to a more 1970's style of wrestling. Silkin felt that the current product didn't appeal to enough wrestling fans. The new direction will feature less high spots, more traditional wrestling, more simple heel vs. babyface booking, and less complexity. The DVD sales based business has started to loss money, and ROH will look to start cutting cost to save money.

The new direction begins on 11/7 in Toronto.

I think Pearce booking with help from veterans like Jerry Lynn and Lance Storm as well as Dave Prazak who books Shimmer and helped book IWA-MS could be very good for the company.
