Finished Ted DiBiase's book on holiday. Very good, but the religion part at the end won't appeal to some people.
Currently reading Jericho's. Really funny & some great interesting stories about coming up through the ranks.

Jericho's book is brilliant mate, cant wait for his next one. A Lion's Tale was on a par with Foley's first 2 books.
I bought "Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story" when in the US, its really good!

Currently working through My Boring Ass Life by Kevin Smith. It's about two years worth of his blog in book form. It's a bit of a slog at times, but there's some funny stuff and some VERY detailed descriptions of his "relations" with his wife. They're not so helpful to read at lunchtime at work.

Re: What are you reading?
Got the Bret Hart book on Friday and finished it last night. While I enjoyed it I thought it was kind of silly how Bret seemed to put a lot of things down to coincidence in his life, like when he came of his bike he had just chosen that day to get his helmet fixed and subsequently suffered a stroke. I would have prefered him to tell the truth and admit he never wore a helmet!! That small gripe aside it was a good book but certainly not on a par with Foleys.

The Hardcore Diaries. Fairly good but not amazingly riveting, easily the weakest of the three. After that I'm going to be reading the 3rd of the Charlie Owen books. Horse's Arse was a great book, so was Foxtrot Oscar and going to delve into Bravo Jubilee soon after finishing the Mick Foley book.

Just started reading Bret Hart's book. Was planning on saving it til I went on holiday, but I've not had much to do today & it was just too tempting. Good read so far.

Try Shutter Island by Denis Lehane. Thumping good read, and Scorcese is making the movie now.

Er, there's 6 Bourne books, aren't there? Three by Ludlum & three by Van Lustbader IIRC.The Ayatollah wrote:The Bourne Sanction - Really good read, all 5 of the Bourne books are excellent IMO.
These last ten days I have read:
Soul Music - Terry Prachett.
I think quite possibly my favourite Discworld book. I can quite happily read it over & over again.
Friends Like These - Danny Wallace.
Not bad, didn't think it was on a par with Yes Man or Join Me, but still kept me amused.
The Bourne Sanction - Eric Van Lustbader.
I quite enjoyed it, it was an impulse purchase at the airport as I thought I may have not taken enough books away with me. Though I think I could have done with reading the two books before it.
Interview With The Vampire - Anne Rice.
A good read. After reading this I had the urge to watch the film for the first time in ages which I'll more than likely do tonight.
The Vampire Lestat - Anne Rice.
This took me the longest to read out of the books I mentioned here. I just couldn't get into it. Not really holiday reading material I think.

Re: What are you reading?
Been on a Stephen King binge lately, started off reading IT its good but I couldnt ever see me reading it again. I then moved on to The Shining and enjoyed it but im still in the process of reading Salems Lot and I have to say its the best read out of three I havent enjoyed a book this much in a while, maybe its because out of three its the only one I havent seen the film version.

I'm only about a third of the way into, but nothing has really happened yet, he seems to be trying to make to many observations about society and has neglected to make a real plot, still plenty of book left.

Not unlike Past Mortem or Dead Famous, then - lays the ground for about half the book, THEN kicks in with the plot

Finished it, not a lot really happens, its the worest book he's written, I enjoyed but doubt I would ever read it again, its certainly not up there with First Casualty, Stark or Gridlocked. In style I would say its closest to Blast from the Past.

I'd put Dead Famous, Chart Throb and High Society up there with his better ones too. Each an excellent social comment in it's own way, taking one aspect and blowing it to comic proportions. The plays are his best work though, Gasping (excellent work), Popcorn slimmed down to a succinct length and Silly Cow. Not the musicals.
None on a par with Good omens or Guards Guards though...

Re: What are you reading?
Finished quite a few lately.
Bret Hart's Autobiography Great read, on occasion a little bitter, but let's face it,
if we'd been through half of what he'd been through, I think we'd all be in a much worse state.
Hardy Boyz Wasn't great tbh. Nothing so much wrong with it, but it seemed a little childish at times, bordering on marky. That being said, there was some very interesting bits about how things work behind the scenes.
Currently reading
The Kid: A season with Sidney Crosby in the new NHL A great insight if you're a hockey fan. The other side of the coin to what you would have heard through the media from the likes of Don Cherry. Very interesting read.
