that's why the game days dont really matter so much.

Yeah, don't worry about anything, there is actually little you do aside from picking your best team and choosing a few tactics. You can buy new players and stuff too, look forward to you joining up and we can get this bad boy up and running. Think I will aim for 2 games a week with a couple of weeks friendlies first if anyone wants to organise them.

You don't need to be online to play the match, no. Just set your team up during the week and the game plays itself. You can watch it "minute by minute" after the game has been played but you can't affect subs or anything.
