Another question about voltage

Post  The Phenom on Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:55 am

Does the Wii run on all voltage? No one over here has been able to give me a definitive answer, and I want to buy one, but I'm not sure if I need to buy one on the Germany economy or on my base. I need it to run on Euro voltage though.

Well obviously one I buy in Germany will work. There is the question of price though, which is why I am posing this question. A new Wii costs 249 euro vs. 249 Dollars at my base. That's a difference of roughly 70 dollars. Not to mention I've heard that games produced for Germany will not work on an American console and vice versa. I'm thinking long term here, which is why I need to know if the American version will run on German voltage.

I asked the folks at the American base, they didn't know and wouldn't let me open the box to check (as I didn't see it on the outside) and the people at the German shop didn't know either.

Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut, aber ich lerne. (Hope that's somewhat right)
