Those compelling questions...

Post  Mtank325 on Tue Sep 23, 2008 3:12 am

Since Smash's temporary expulsion, what are some unanswered questions that were left hanging in the balance without answers since we last spoke?

For example, I'd be interested in hearing what happened with Smoke Daddy and his situation at his home. When we last left him, I recall he was being pushed out because he wasn't interested in playing football. And who was that last DX kid that joined the old forums, was he truly a separate entity or one of the DX kids pulling a double name?

Cant think of anymore questions that need to be answered! Oooo...

Didn't you catch Hurricane Gustav? It was created during the hyped King Steve vs. ER fight.

ER is apart of our fantasy football league so I wouldn't be a surprise to see him back soon.

I've also always wondered if Smash v3 was a reality, well I mean what Groovico intended as he let loose a version of Smashlife on the staff and we got to see the Smashlife.com website.

It was real. He really did just get sidetracked by about 3 or 4 other businesses that he was running and din't have the time to do it, plus he fell out of love with wrestling and lost the motivation...

I lucked out big time. The team lost every single game they played so it looked like a smart decision to not play. Really could not blame me for not wanting to play on a losing team. Now if they had won a game I would have been in serious shit. I thank my friends on the team everyday for losing so much Laughing

Here's kind of a new one, but for Garibaldi, when you edit a comment, there's a box that says "Reason for editing." Can (Do) you read those?

They have this on another forum I post on, if you write in it (there) everyone can see it.

Yeah, it's just a forum feature. It's such a mionor thing I haven't looked to see if I can switch it off yet. You don't need to add anything, but if you do it appears at the bottom of the post.

I quite like the feature.

You're a Kitson fan then MTW? He's awesome, The Honourable Men of Art show featuring him was the best comedy show I've ever seen, and his story show was alright. I've also seen his fireworks show and the impotent fury of the privileged show.

He's by far the best comedian on the planet. Anyone who disagrees hasn't seen him. The Impotent Fury of the Privileged show and the story show at the Fringe were great. He's so good he almost makes going to see other comedians feel pointless.

I'm old school. The obsrevatonal stylings of Jasoper Carrott or the semi-ad-libbed Eddie Izzard have yet to be topped on my travels.

Although I seem to recall liking Al Murray and Brendan Burns during their student gig days 10-15 years ago. Met Brendan a couple of times, great guy, very laid back.

Of course that might have been the weed...

Is Brendan Burns the Aussie guy? I saw him at the festival in 2007 in which he won the comedy award - I thought his show was awful compared to the Kitson/Stewart Lee/Sadowitz shows I'd seen in the previous days.

Yeah that's the guy. He has a DVD coming out next month of the show you're talking about. I was thinking about getting it as I never saw his show that year. Or this year come to that. Was it bad generally or just compared to those three?

I personally didn't find it very funny, nor did the rest of the group I was with. Having said that, he must be doing something right to be getting these awards/good reviews so still may be worth checking out.

Right. Why didn't you say it like this then:

What ever happened to Debs? Or MTW?
