Split into here so as not disrupt the initial thread.

Care to expand on your clique comment Stu? Also, why post it in that particular thread?

Not likely. The latest trend is that when you say something another member disagrees with they follow you all over the board for the sake of hounding you. Most of the time they contribute nothing to the debate or discussion or the thread's purpose, they just want to stir.

If you remember, they were in the same clique as Inno, so therefore it didn't count as one.

Lest we forget that you and Stu are friends, so that must be a clique too.

I've spoken to Stu on MSN...does that make him a MSN Clique member?

More than anything i was pissed at seeing another perfectly good thread get another retared The Stig Vs Anyone in a pointless bickering match reference (Seedubs post). I got the arse said something stupid and ironicly derailed the thread myself.

So because I jokingly suggested a forum feud as the best feud of the wrestling year, you thought I was ruining the thread? Isn't that jumping the gun a bit? Some would consider that humour.

Hm... Interesting. I have noticed the lack of power to lock threads in my life in the recent months. Perhaps a bloody coup will be necessary, or, at the very least, enjoyable.

Whenever there has been a fued of the year thread, forum members have always been mentioned, well atleast in the 6.5 years I've been posting they have.

A bloody coup? Hmmm, sounds interesting. Need an extra pair of hands? There's nothing like bloodshed on a cold winters morning.

Wink Cool

It's not a clique thing with me getting friends to mod. I wanted people I'm comfortable with to start with, plus with 20,000 posts between the three of us, we kinda know all the Smashers of old. My new job is still taking more of my attention than I'd like, and I reallty want to help Smash take off again this year, so to carry out big plans I need a bit of help. Sweatsock particularly has been on here a lot since, both visibly and behind the scenes.

And I don't mean fecking awards and the like, they're just to jazz things up a little. We've already been having good chats behind the scenes about a few ideas, from publicity to competitions to a main site to draw people in.

I did actualy approach someone else to mix things up, but we discussed it and his contributions to the forum were likely to be much reduced for a while so we agreed it wasn't the best time.

It's not going to become a police state, it's all for practical reasons, boys!

By that logic, EdgeRulez should be running the whole thing... which wouldn't be good.

I thought that the only cliques on the old smash were the possibly fictional MSN Clique and the Glasgow gets smashed crowd.

I'm sure the "MSN Clique" was just something made up by EdgeRulez so he could play the victim role. The GGS Clique definitely existed (and still does) though.
