I have tp agree, a couple of one liners and a gadget would not have compromised the gritiness and would have made it less like a borne copycat.

This one was more my flatmates choice than mine, I was just being lazy and stayed sat in front of the TV. Didn't like this one as much as the first. Was probably just an excuse for Len Wiseman to have his wife dressed in a PVC catsuit for many hours a day purely for his own pleasure.

Considering Kate Beckinsale is a dirty cock mad bitch i dont think he would have a problem getting her into kinky gear

I think I enjoyed this more last night than when it first came out. Could watch this movie a few times I reckon before it would start to bore me.

It is one of those films that is certainly rewatchable. I missed it the other night but have seen it a fair few times already.

    Pride And Glory

I thought this was good, certainly had some top performances. Was just lacking something though to take it on to the next level, though I'm not sure what.

Excellent. Great performances from De Niro and Sandra Bernhard. I think this is my favourite non-crime orientated Scorsese flick.

Death Proof - Tarantino's worst, but I think everyone knows that. I thought that his usually brilliant dialogue was kind of pointless in this one.

Disturbia - Good, the lead is a good actor, always used to watch that kid's show he did!

Mulholland Drive - Without question the weirdest film I've seen. I was completely lost after the 1st time the blue box was opened. Before reading up on it I'd have given it 2 out of 5 (and that's mainly for the lesbo action Cool ), but after reading it is brilliantly clever. While I respect the director's innovation, most people just won't get the film on 1st viewing, so it's a bit of a strange one. On the plus side, I am now quite obssessed with Naomi Watts. Shocked

Welcome to the David Lynch fanclub! And believe me, Mulolland Drive makes complete sense compared to Lost Highway, Eraserhead or Inland Empire!

Best buddy movie since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. the scene at the end where the basically rip to shreds how ridiculous this type of film is, is a a particularly joy. Highly recommended

    This Is England - *****

Probably the best British made film I've ever seen. If it was a Hollywood film the boy Thomas Turgoose who played the lead role would be mega star on the back of it.

Taxi Driver - saw this for the first time. Think it's a bit overrated, I mean it's very good but not exactly one of the best I've seen either. I was expecting something brilliant. Oh and the music annoyed the fuck out of me, all the repetitive sax, overkill!

    Eastrern Promises - Bloody good.

I hadn't really paid any attention to the hype when it was first released so I couldn;t say whether it was over rated or not.

I did feel though that it was an excellent film and some of the acting was incredible. My one negative would be that I'm not sure I could watch it over again any time soon because it is quite an uncomfortable film in some parts.

It was massively hyped, especially Thomas Turgoose's performance. I felt his performance was good, but not to the standard that the critics were claiming it was.

Dante's Peak - Missed the first 15 minutes but it didn't seem to affect the "plot" (paper thin covers that) but for the visuals it was a good film, plus how is a grandma going into an acid lake NOT funny?
