Just got a new copy of the Royal Rumble anthology for pretty cheap online. Anyone know why WWE has to dub certain entrance music? They had to dub over Cactus Jack's theme in the 2000 Rumble with something that sounded similar, except when they did the dub, they also added a bunch of crowd noise/cheering that was at unrealistic levels.

I guess this topic could also serve as a place to discuss new releases as well...

It's a royalties thing. It's the same reason Edge's "Never Gonna Stop" Rob Zombie theme is always dubbed now, ditto ONS for Sandman's entrance.

Thats strange though because I am pretty sure Cactus Jack's music is stock music in the public domain. Foley said it could be heard in lots of old porno movies from the 70's. Strange that it would be dubbed over.

The ecw videos are the worse, enter sandman dubbed over with some genertic rock music whilst the crowd sing enter sandman! I think Steve Corino's music got dubbed over with europop!
