Smash World Pool Championship - *Official Thread*

Just what it says in the title folks, full details below:

The History:
The Smash Pool Championship was founded in April 2005 in Birmingham, England.
The 3 players who contested the first ever Championship Tournament were Sweatsock, Brother of Destruction and Garibaldi.
The initial Round Robin event was contested in The Sports Cafe Birmingham in April 2005 resulted in a tie between Sweatsock & BoD with both then sharing the title of Smash Pool Champion.*
In August 2006 the Smash Pool Championship was succesfully defended by Sweatsock against Jan from the Czech Republic in the Black Bull Bar Edinburgh.
Following on from this it was decided that the Smash Pool Championship was now classified as a World Championship and Sweatsock was recognised as champion.
The Smash World Pool Championship has since been contested several times, all of which are detailed below in the 'Holders' section.

Full rules and regulations of the SWPC will be posted in the next couple of days. All Smash members are welcome to challenege the champion at any time in accordance with the rules and regulations of the SWPC.

The Stadium Bar!

Are you two off your heads?!!! I assume there was a reason as to why two Celtic supporting Glaswegians found themselves playing pool in, quite frankly, the skaniest pub in the immediate vicinity of Ibrox (which believe me, is saying something)

You wouldn't catch me wandering in to Bairds for a quiet game of darts for instance!

They had to go in as part of the sub crawl, fortunately the underground doesn't go anywhere near the East End of Glasgow

Precisely. The Stadium bar served the purpose for me to gain rightful possession of the pool title.

I still haven't got the trophy, mind...

If memory serves me correctly, the trophy was a half empty glass of Strongbow taken from Garibaldi while he was in the toilet...

& given that I never actually lost the title, surely that's not an undisputed title reign?

Ladies, Gentlemen, small furry animals, & Friends... oh, and Dr Road Woyah too...

It is with great regret I inform you that I have let you all down, and lost possession of the Coveted Smash World Pool Title. Not only that, but to a) a non forum member but b) a woman.

I have consulted with the commissioner of the title (Sweatsock) and the winner of the title must be a registered member of the forum. So she's joining, if only to rub my nose in it further.

Once again, I apologise to you all.

This is a severe letdown, dude. I speak for everyone here on smash when I say that you have to right this unforgivable wrong!

Yes, it's true I claimed the title, but was told of this weird rule that I couldn't officially be champion until I registered. So here I am, and I'm going to play Inno today and re-win it just to prove a point

Ah yes......twas a fun day Myself and Inno ended up joined for a few games of pool by a non forum member(he had a swollen black eye so for the purposes of naming him....he shall be known as one-eye for the rest of this posting)....

Ended up 6 games of winner stays on and the results were as follows.....

The title is now back under my control. And the PREVIOUS holder is a forum member. Anyway, she was taught a lesson today. Whee!

I would love to go to the pub and play pool on a weekday, sounds great.

It was The Windsor Bar, Hamilton.

The title will be played for again Friday night, probably. Victory shall once again, be mine
