The return of name that stadium!

Post  showstealer on Thu Mar 12, 2009 8:12 am

For a correct answer I need to know the team and what the stadium is called.

    Here's the first one.

Nice and easy! Very Happy Bonus points if you know where the hell you go for a pre-match pint.

Yeah, i will tell you something, the day we get a crappy lego stadium like that will be the day that a massive part of my enjoyment of going to home games ends. Terrible ground with no atmosphere.

    Give me this anyday

If that's atmosphere why do all the fans in the foreground look bored shitless?

Yeah, sometimes I will get excited about the warm-up and cheer and jump about if a player does 3 keepie ups or something but generally during the warm up I will turn round and talk to my friends.

And sorry Showstealer, I cheated and right clicked to see the properties of the picture and now know the answer Sad

I won't give away the answer and spoil the game though.

Its the Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk and guess who plays there? Falkrik Smile .

Nowhere to go for a pre-match pint because there isn't a single decent pub in Falkirk.

Congrats and you've got the bonus point as well! It's now your turn to choose a stadium, it doesn't have to be as hard as mine. Wink

I appreciated your honesty Hector, thanks for not spoiling the game.

I know, I take it it's not Stirling Castle then. Mad

I'll let someone else have a guess before I guess again.

You git! I didn't bother checking what the name of the team was and assumed it was Stirling Albion! Evil or Very Mad

Edit: It IS Stirling Albion. Now I'm just confused!

No I mean there is a team called Stirling Albion... I thought you were trying to catch me out on the team name which would have been easy as I had no idea what Stirling's team was called, I just recognised (or thought I recognised) the castle.

It's neither of the Stirling teams. Very Happy

The castle isn't really the clue it's more what the castle's on top of. I'm sure Hector will probably get this one. Smile

In contrast to Sweatsock's, I will offer this fine stadium.

    East Fife?!

That stadium's a beaut Hector, it reminds me of Wembley, but with a better pitch and only one tower.

    Alloa Athletic?

My technique is to go on wikipedia to find lower league Scottish teams, then find one who play in yellow and black. I consider this as being one step away from cheating. Mad

    No.

Why don't you cross reference that with famous scottish castles and see what comes up? Wink

No, and no. Although I actually saw Annan getting knocked out of the CIS cup at this stadium this season thanks to some comps from one of the assistant refs. Very Happy
