Second half gave me neck ache with all the aimless long balls we were playing and it took what looked like a mis-hit cross from Scott Laird to get us back level with just under 10 minutes to go.We could have won it but totally wasteful finishing leaves us with a replay on Wednesday night.I'd be tempted to change most of the team after that shambolic performance but the replacements probably won't be much better.

FA Cup Thread
Draw for the first round tomorrow lunch time and Stevenage are quite lucky to even be in it.We drew 2-2 with Ryman league side Horsham this afternoon, dreadful performance from us.First half we didn't start off too bad and even went in front via a nice finish by Mitchell Cole. But about a minute after we scored we just fell to pieces, Luke Oliver just gave the ball to Sigere who only had the keeper to beat, we were 2-1 down just before half time after more dithering by the defence.

We beat Horsham 4-1 in the replay, finally pulled our act together after going in a goal down at half time.

Re: FA Cup Thread
And there ends our interest in the cup for another year.Leicester City 3-0 Stevenage Borough. No complaints with the result really, just got outplayed by a better side, which I expected to be honest.First twenty minutes we played really well and Morison should have put us a goal up but once they scored it was pretty much one way traffic. We did have a good spell in the last 10 minutes of the game and once again Morison missed a good chance.

Re: FA Cup Thread
Third round time is here again!
Terible first half, good cup-tie like second. Well played by Wigan but the more clinical play by Spurs deserved the win there.
And we surely have a contender for comedy of the year already:
- Zokora getting one in the knackers from Dawson's driven clearance
- Modric with the earliest dive for a header in history with the second
and best of all
- The huge cheer that Ghastly got when he put his tracksuit top back on!

Good performance today by Arsenal. Nuff said.

First half we were great! But after Parkinson's half time talk and his substitutions, which resulted in us not having a striker I am not 50% sure that he shouldn't be our manager, expect this figure to rise considerable.

I sense the board stalling on his purchases for a few days, after which they suddenly unveil a new manager.

Re: FA Cup Thread
Indeed. People are saying give him a chance since he has money to burn but several problems spring to mind.
Firstly, none of the big names are going to join a club which is in the shadow of a much larger rival, has no real history to speak of, is in Manchester, and is currently in the midst of a relegation scrap.
Secondly, given that this is, on paper, a better team than Sven had to work with last year and he had a solid season whilst Hughes has led this team headfirst into the toilet, do you really want Hughes to be given say over who joins the club?

Christ almighty...give Hughes some time!
Poor managers...only 6 months into a job and people are calling for his head!
He knows what needs to be done so if any of you are City fans, get behind him and whoever he brings in.
I hate the merry go round that goes about in football today.

I'll next game is against Forest. We've now beaten our most games without a win record and seem quite focused on getting relegated. Have to comment on the Narwich fans, 3,500 turned up and they never chanted after kick off, very poor.

Routine win for United today i would like to have seen a few more goals though but that would probably have been cruel on Southampton. Its a pity on the Saints the way they have fallen but i like the way they are pushing their young talent although i suppose they dont have any other choice.
Spurs next then.....

Re: FA Cup Thread
Really expecting nothing this year from Newcastle, but what I am hoping for is Blyth to turn Blackburn over. Not only does it give a kick in the balls to Big Sam, but it sets up the Spartans v Blunderland. The Spartans are based in Blyth, which is a few miles north of Newcastle. It'll be an invasion if they get past Blackburn for a trip to the Village of the Damned.

Plus should we beat them in the cup, you just KNOW Fergie will start taking the League cup seriously and put out the full team against us in that final...

Re: FA Cup Thread
After watching that, I once again question the logic of midseason friendlies. Only thing is that usually refers to internationals nbot FA cup ties.
I know both sides were a bit pieced together, but neither tried at all in that game really. Tevez and Dawson seemed to be the only two who really worked. Both did what was asked and little more. If either team had actually put in an effort it would have been a cake walk.
Much happier with Alnwick and Gunter this time out, nice to see Giovanni given a run, and it's beginning to look like Harry is going to start using Taraabt(although ironically that was the weakest performance of his I've seen to date)

Incase anyone is going to that one...
You would think with the amount of money they spent on the stadium they would be able to deal with snow.

The ground is fine and playable, they don't want to endanger fans traveling to the match.
