G'morning, gents. It's that time again, fantasy football time. I setup the league with last year's settings and I e-mailed everyone in prior fantasy leagues. But in case you missed it (or your e-mail is hidden) here's the entry information:

    http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/register/joinprivateleague_league_select?.scrumb=

    League ID: 65874
    Password: smash

The draft time is currently set at August 22nd, 10 AM EST to compensate for the time differences.

If there's any rules changes you'd be interested in discuss here.

I'll play, I haven't done this in years. I can't play the fantasy baseball, too many games to keep track of. That's why I love fantasy football.

Any way we can postpone the draft by one week? Or just any time after the 24th? I know I can't make it during the current time. Plus, I think we need one more team, we have 7 currently, will Yahoo let us draft with 7?

I don't believe it will let us draft with an odd number. I pushed it back a week for the same time at 10am.

shit i woke up early for nothing. if no one signs up just set the max teams for 8 and open it to the public. this way there will only be 1 non smash member.

Does anybody have a non-Smash friend who'd want to join? Otherwise by Wednesday I'll take Van's advice and make it public.

I changed the time slightly to alleviate some people's issues with the early time. It's now 1pm EST. I've also opened it up to the public for one more person to join.

I also added a flex position and another bench position. Also I added PPR to scoring and fixed the D/ST position.

Let me know if anyone has any issues or wants to make a change.

I hadn't realized last year's settings were 50 yards/point when I already set QB TDs to 4 points instead of 6. If you want me to set it back I will but it will make QBs useless. 6 points for TDs makes QBs overpowered as the ratio of QB TDs v. WR/RB TDs is much higher.

i know the settings made them useless, even made a comment in the draft about it and is why i waited so long to draft any. i have 1 descent QB but i definatly would have drafted different if the new settings were in effect. but do whatever you like. not the end of the world. just wanted to know why

Your comment actually made me wonder what you meant by it because in standard scoring (25yards/point; 4pts/TD) I believe top 5 of the scorers were QBs. I actually think you made out well with Rivers and Hasselbeck especially with the caliber of the rest of your roster, especially receivers.
