They won the one before 4-1 as well and there 4th in the league, an odd choice from the Smogies.

Indeed, I don't think they realise just how tough a league the championship is.

If they wanted to sack him, the end of last season would have been the time, mind you they are a weird lot up there.

Great win on Monday night. We've not been playing well as of late, but the results are still coming. This is Leeds United's league this season, the best squad in the division is playing to its potential, and Simon Grayson is a fantastic manager - one of the few things Bates has got right in his 4 depressing, ruinous years with us. Norwich looked pretty good though, definitely the best team I've seen us play all season, they could be a good bet for 2nd.

Bates never saved us. That is what he wants people to believe. He nearly wiped us out because of his own ego by playing russian roulette with the club in 2007, less we forget. The man is a crook who is equal to Ridsdale in terms of damage, and we shall only ever truly move forward when he goes, a day I cannot wait for.

Bates' rap sheet:

A lack of any investment. Kenneth is always banging on about how he's attracting new investment, but where the hell is it? It's been 4 years, and we've moved nowhere but backwards ever since. JAN 2005 - we were mid-table Championship, AUG 2009 - We began our third season in the third tier. If that's progress, then I'm boffing Scarlett J. Jist of it is probably anyone of any credibility and standing doesn't want to be associated with him, why do you think he was ousted from his Chairman role at Chelsea so soon after Roman took over?
Giving Blackwell a new 3 year deal before sacking him just months later. Blackwell was a loser, and has since proved himself to be a very poor manager (and a buffoon) but this was ludicrous.
Selling Aaron Lennon (now rated at £20m) for £750k, with little to no sell-on clause. Now, I know he was young, but even my decrepid old nan could have seen that boy looked special.
-15 deduction brought about by his fiddling, and his bending of the FL Due Dilligence rules. This of course placed the future of the club into serious jepardy; remember those times? Less than a week before the start of a new season and we had no players, no Golden share, etc. Depressing times, the very worst in all my years as a Leeds fan. I thought we were going under. All brought on by KB and his threat to liquidate the club to spite some of the creditors demanding a little bit of cash to compensate for the big losses they had already incurred.
The appointment of Dennis Wise a horiffically unsuitable appointment; in management terms, a footballing nobody. A vile little cretin who shouldn't have been allowed within 100 miles of our glorious club. He had a good squad too, yet still managed to relegate us, which is something that should never have happened.
Buying back Thorpe Arch by using the £6m Delph money...we then missed the deadline, and no longer have a right to buy it. Nice one Kenneth!
Complete alienation of those around him and I mean constantly making enemies. It says alot that you can no longer buy a Leeds replica shirt anywhere bar the one club shop, after KB cut off all the distribution deals. It is also funny how BBC Radio Leeds, a station with long and prosperous links with Leeds United Football Club, now have to report from the ground via mobile phone because they fell victim to Bates' in-house vanity project, Yorkshire Radio, and his ridiculous LUTV PPV station. I see just this week he has banned the Guardian, one of the countries top newspapers, from getting access to Elland Road, simply for asking the very valid question of who exactly owns the club. Which brings me to...
The Ownership! Who owns us? One minute Bates says he does, then the next he suddenly has a memory lapse...and it's some strange body based in the Cayman Island/Switzerland called Forward Sports Fund. It's going to lead to trouble, and give the FL another excuse to fuck us over (points deductions anyone?) And finally...
Ticket Prices! It is more expensive to watch Leeds than it is half of the Premiership, fact. I remember his quote, "If you want Premiership football, you have to pay Premiership prices" - where is this Premiership football? Leeds, a club with a loyal and big fan base, are often having to play in front of half empty stadiums, as the majority can simply not afford it week in, week out. I paid £30 the other month to watch us play those giants of football...the mighty...Stockport County. Indeed. It is Beeston ffs, not Kensington...

In summary, Bates doesn't care about the fans - you or me, or anyone else. So whilst what I write is pretty much irrelevant, it has to be said that this man is not our saviour, and no matter how often he wheels out Peter Lorimer (the ultimate stooge) to tell us different, it is not the case. Still, we're doing well right now, Grayson gives me so much confidence, and I reckon with this winner on board, this is our time to get a bit closer to where we need to be.

Over and out, hope you're well Dave, it's been a while Laughing Smile

Norwich are certainly on the up but I think we have a good chance to finish high than them, they're pretty weak at that back. I was surprised how poor Huddlesfield were, I thought they would be one of the favs for the title. If they don't go up this season I'll expect Smithes to join a championship side. I expect Leeds to go on a slump soon, but they have a nack of grinding out results and will probably win the title. Best team we've seen this season is Colchester, they should be in the mix at the end of the season.

I paid £26 to go to Hellend road this season. Evil or Very Mad

I'm not sure I agree with these two, Wise did a good job as manager, we played good football and overturned the -15pts in a way no one was expecting.

Leeds City Council were buying Thorpe Arch and renting it back to use, we weren't buying it.

Bristol Rovers 0 - 4 Leeds United

Jermaine Beckford scored two as League One leaders Leeds condemned Bristol Rovers to a fourth consecutive defeat.

Laughing was just going to ask the same question, Dave!

If we screw this up, then it'll be sickening, but we won't; Larry Grayson is king, and our resolve won't be broken. Even Stephen Fry was saying we are going to win the league!

Sometime in the next decade. Wink

Great point for us, I can't believe it wasn't called off, these league 1 teams are made of stronger stuff!

We watch the second half from the coach whilst drinking red wine and eating pork pies. Embarassed
