We should have a Smash Bond Meet up at a cinema for a premiere...
Oh, and I was forced into watching Death Race with my friends...
FUCKING AWFUL PIECE OF SHIT. Made no sense, the crashes looked nice but it was SO FUCKING LOUD it hurt my ears by the end of it. Absolute bullshit that it can be given such a high budget.

Righteous Kill
I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't predicted everything in the movie ten minutes in. Also the end blatantly rips off Heat.

correct, although contrary to some reviewers, it's NOT the first sequel - Diamonds are forever basically began with hunti ng Blofeld for killing his wife Tracy.
And a meet-up might be good, although where would we do it???

The Taking of Pelham one two three
One of the most awesome heist movies ever made. Robert Shaw is amazing in this!

Not to worry mate...ill keep hunting for a copy!
Watching For Your Eyes Only, one of Rog's better Bond films, not quite as good as The Spy Who Loved Me though.... Still FYEO had the gorgeous Carole Bouquet in it
, Julian Glover is a good villian in it as well

Its much easier to find this than the series, should be loads on ebay.
The Conversation
Gene Hackmans greatest performance by far. I'm at a loss to explain how a film where so little happens could be so engrossing. Fantastic movie. Coppolla's most underrated.

The Good Shepherd - Good, but for something about the history of the CIA I preferred that programme 'The Company' that was on last year.

Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.
Wow... every time I see this it continues to astonish me just how badly Richard Lester fucked up this movie. Much much MUCH better version this one.

Re: Film's you've seen today
Definately. just the beginning tying into the events of the first movie more improved it greatly, but the better secenes between Clark and Lois - having to use the screen test for CR didn't harm at all - more explanation on how Lex knew about the fortress, less emphasis on goofiness. A much better version.

Only let down is the ending, but had Donner been kept on I'm convinced we wouldn't have had that one anyway so you can't really blame him.

Re: Film's you've seen today
you should seek out the lost son arc of Action Comics in trade paperback form, it was written by Richard Donner and Geoff Johns and its all zod, my interpritation is what would have happend in the superman movies had budget not been an issue.

A fine film indeed!
But I'm surprised this has been mentioned for more than 5 minutes and Burt hasn't commented!

Tropic Thunder
I can't believe how good this was! Most people I know said it was an above average comedy, and I hate Ben Stiller, but this was utterly fantastic. I must have laughed for half an hour at the Simple Jack clip.

Greatest superhero movie ever. Even if you don't like comic or superhero movies, you'll still love it.
AND IF LEDGER DOESN'T GET AN OSCAR, THEN THE SHIT IS RIGGED!!!!!!

Ledger was awesome as the Joker, but Oscar worthy?? I don't think so. If he wins it'll be a sympathy win. Were he still alive I doubt he'd even be considered.

Yeah that whole Heath Ledger thing is just hyperbol, still was an excellent film though.
