IIRC, these sorts of forums start only with a general board (presumably this became the Lounge.) By default they go to the top of the list unless you code it correctly. It's been a long time since I hosted a forum so I don't remember how do that. I'm sure someone will.

This starts with the root "Smashlives" and a demo folder - that's it. That isn't defaulting, because I got rid of it.

Seems to be sticking so far.

I just noticed that you can't jump to other parts in the forum while you're visiting a post. Is there any way you can put that quick drop down box with the various sections?

Does anyone else find this "new" design with the muted colours etc REALLY hard to read?

Dont get me wrong, i like it - but its quite tough on the eyes...

I suggested that on the previous page, why do you always ignore me? Crying or Very sad

You see those "colour", "brightness" and "contrast" options on your monitor? Wink

Seriously, no-one else has commented since this colourscheme came in but which colours/features are you optically indisposed to and I can see what I can do

The Premiership & Championship etc threads should both be sticky seeing as the Scottish one is.

Or another suggestion is none of them sticky at all.

I'm sure you have to edit the first post and at the bottom you can choose between sticky and announcement.

That would make sense, it is the way that the controls for MODing worked on the old Smash as well.

I am sure that if you ever need help trying to figure out how to do things like that, you can ask me, Inno, Mtank, or any other former MOD and we would be happy to try to explain how to do it for you.

I think you should make mtank a mod since he has never done it before.

the smashlives banner at the top of the screen really needs to be a link to the home page

I know there is the 'home' button underneath, but the large banner needs to link back to the main screen

it annoys me no end

Was wondering if you're planning on using titles for the members? Because if you are, Big Dave's should be "This is what you get if Sloth and Quasimodo mated"

Can we do our own? That would be great.

I think that everyone's title should be voted on by the members of the forum... maybe with a choice of 3 or 4 to vote from(one of them being the title chosen by the member themselves) The other three are made up by other members.......What fun that could be!!!!

Maybe we can do a vote for 2-3 members a week. I say we start with Big Dave and the title I previously suggested!!!!! Razz Razz

Don't ypou mean "Will do things to hobos for cash"?

Open to suggestions on this. I've got a week off at the end of the month, I was going to look at things like this then.

Only problem with a vote for each person is that it could either become boring quickly or, if we keep adding members, a bit "spam-tastic" for the number of threads.

Real JK did this on the old forums IIRC.

IIRC titles were part of the "you made a donation - here's your perks" routine. You had generic ones until you did that, then you got custom title + PL access, that sort of thing

Also just do it for the members right now!!!!

up until Shane.

The new ones from there can have generic until we think of some other title bestowing nonsense!!!!

OK, I've let this slide too long. Changes are a-coming, people.

Starting with the titles.

Then the logo (Clarkey, liked what you sent, but didn't qite feel right when I tried it briefly. I'll drop you a line over the next week or so - had an idea or two)

And possibly one or two mods to make sure that when I drift off like this somene is about to actually do things

It's taken me a while to notice this one...but whe you're viewing a thread, you should have a "jump to" drop-down box.

If not, let me know so I can check it's not just on my admin account
